West Virginia Drops In This Week’s AP Poll

Following the Mountaineers’ home loss versus Kentucky Saturday night, West Virginia dropped to number 15 in this week’s AP Top 25 poll. The Mountaineers drop comes on the heels of losing four out of their last five games, with the sole victory coming from their matchup versus Texas.

The Mountaineers are now the lowest-ranked Big 12 team in the AP Poll. Kansas comes in at seven, with Texas Tech rounding out the Top Ten. Oklahoma dropped to 12 following their Big 12/SEC matchup loss.

West Virginia is now in a four-way tie for second place in the Big 12, with a conference record of 5-3. The Mountaineers face unranked Iowa State Wednesday night in Ames as they work toward making their way to the top of the Big 12.
