WVU drops one in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–After suffering a loss to then-No. 10 Kansas on Monday, West Virginia dropped one spot to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll on Monday.

Two weeks ago the Mountaineers came in second but back-to-back losses to Texas Tech and the Jayhawks have WVU still sitting in the Top 10.

The Mountaineers are one of four Big 12 teams ranked this week.

WVU  has been ranked for its 47th consecutive week in the AP poll, second only to its 56-straight-week stretch from March 1956 to March 1960.

The Mountaineers battle TCU on Monday night at 9 p.m.
