Newest West Virginia offer 'means a lot' to this 2019 recuit

Yesterday I spoke with 2019 recruit Bryson Shaw a safety that hails from Potomac, MD. Shaw currently holds offers from  Duke, Maryland, Northwestern, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest and most recently, West Virginia. According to Shaw Virginia, Wisconsin and Maryland stand out right now since they have shown the most interest. He seemed very excited over his offer from the Mountaineers.

“It means a lot to me that’s for sure. It’s a great program and school, it’s also close to home,” Shaw said. “I was pumped to pick up the WVU offer.”

Watching Shaw on film was rather impressive. He plays with a lot of energy and absolutely flies across the field. Shaw could easily play wide receiver at the next level, but for West Virginia; he will be recruited as a safety. He has great hands and play recognition which could develop him into a ball-hawking type of play maker.

Shaw is very fond of the West Virginia defense saying, “I love it. One of the players I try and imitate is actually Karl Joseph. I’ve watched tons of film of him when he was in college.”

He will be attending junior day in Morgantown and said he hopes to make a decision some time before summer. “I’m looking for a school that wants me to play for them just as badly as I want to,” Shaw said. “I want to go to a school that makes me feel the most comfortable, a home away from home.”
