Why West Virginia Will Win
The Mountaineers are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Kansas on Saturday. It was a controversial game where the Jayhawks made 26 of 35 free throws and the Mountaineers made 1 of 2. During the loss, WVU blew an eight-point lead and the Mountaineers failed to score for more than three minutes during the stretch. WVU made just 2-of-9 shots in the last four minutes as Kansas went on a 19-6 run. Things aren’t about to get any easier for the struggling Mountaineers as they remain on the road against a red-hot Baylor. The Bears have won five consecutive games, including a 59-57 win over No. 7 Texas Tech on Saturday. Senior Manu Lecomte leads the way for Baylor. He averages 16.5 points per contest. Terry Maston has been stepping up his game of late. He made 10-of-19 from the floor and grabbed five rebounds against the Red Raiders.
