NFL Combine Day 1: Mountaineers look toward the NFL

The 2018 NFL Combine is officially underway in Indianapolis, and three Mountaineers are present and looking to make bigger names for themselves ahead of the NFL Draft this spring. Justin Crawford, Ka’Raun White and his brother Kyzir are all participating in the multi-day weekend, as day one concludes today.

Both Justin Crawford and Ka’Raun White participated in today’s events, alongside many well-known athletes from around college football. The wide receivers competed in the first two rounds of the 40-yard dash, as well as the bench press among other competitions.

Justin Crawford clocked his first attempt at the 40 with a 4.65. His second attempt came in at 4.61. The next running of the 40 will take place Saturday afternoon. Crawford bench-pressed eleven reps, which unfortunately tied him for lowest reps among the the running backs.

Ka’Raun White put on quite the show on Friday. The wide receivers competed in the bench press competition. White led the pack with 24 bench press reps, which was nine more than the Combine average.

The competition continues on through Saturday and Sunday, with Kyzir White making his Combine debut. We will continue to update the results of the competition throughout the weekend as the Combine progresses.
