Huntington, West Virginia native Darnell Wright received an offer from WVU, all the way back in 2016. They were one of the first teams to offer the two-way lineman a scholarship. Wright plays for Huntington High School and is 6′ 6” and weighs around 290 pounds.
Since then, schools such as Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU and many others have sent offers Wright’s way. Even with all those offers, Wright has told WVU Wire that he still hasn’t ruled out staying in his home state for college.
“I’m considering everything at the moment,” said Wright.
If WVU wants to be honest with themselves, with the teams that has offered Wright a scholarship, it will be very hard for WVU coach Dana Holgorsen to keep Wright in the state of West Virginia.
Wright is apart of the 2019 recruiting class, where WVU already has 5 commits.
