MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– West Virginia University first baseman Marques Inman was named Big 12 Co-Player of the Week alongside Oklahoma State’s Trevor Boone on Monday.
Inman had a stellar weekend, helping the Mountaineers win 2-of-3 games from UNLV.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound sophomore batted a .750 clip and registered a 1.875 slugging percentage. During the three-game series, he had six hits and three home runs while driving in five RBIs and scoring five runs.
Boone hit .583 as the Cowboys took a weekend series from Kansas State. The sophomore had two doubles, a home run and three RBIs as he collected 12 total bases and posted a 1.000 slugging percentage.
Oklahoma State’s Carson Teel was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week and Texas redshirt freshman Zach Zubia was named Newcomer of the Week.
WVU returns to action on Tuesday, April 10 when the Mountaineers face Penn State at PNC Park.
