2018 WV Player of the Year to Walk On at WVU

Fairmont Senior Taevon Horton announced via his Twitter page today that he has decided to be a walk on at West Virginia University.

Horton averaged almost 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists this past season.  Horton’s production didn’t go unnoticed as he won the Evans Award, given to the states best high school basketball player.

Horton may be a walk on this coming season, but if he shows the WVU coaching staff he can contribute to the team, he will have an opportunity to gain a scholarship.
