Huggins Adds to the 2018 Recruiting Class

Point Guard Jermaine Haley has officially signed with WVU.  Haley is 6’7” 215 pounds and currently attends Odessa College in Odessa, Texas, where he averaged 10.2 points along 3.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game .  Haley has two years of eligibility remaining.

“We are really excited to add size and experience to our backcourt,” WVU Coach Bob Huggins said. “We had a pressing need for size in our guard rotation. Jermaine will give us size and skill set in addition to being a willing passer in the backcourt.”

Haley started his college career at New Mexico State, averaging 3.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 21 minutes per game.

Haley will bring something different to the Mountaineer guard position.  Jevon Carter is 6’2” and Daxter Miles Jr is 6’3” 4 and 5 inches shorter than Haley.  Huggins has made a point of emphasis on replacing Carter and Miles, adding Haley to a recruiting class that already has two guards in Jordan McCabe and Trey Doomes.
