Wide receiver transferring from WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–West Virginia wide receiver Reggie Roberson announced his plans to transfer on Thursday afternoon.

As a true freshman, Roberson saw limited action. He had six receptions for 30 yards, including a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Mountaineers’ 59-16 win over Delaware State.

With David Sills, Gary Jennings and Marcus Simms returning and the addition of Alabama transfer T.J. Simmons, it was unlikely that Roberson would see significant playing time next season.
