Now that we have given you our top five quarterbacks for class A its time to break down our top five for class AA. The talent at the top is nothing short of impressive, and without further a due coming in at number five is..
5. Rhett White ( Herbert Hoover High School C/O 2019)
6’0″ 180 Lbs White Hudl Profile
White is looking for a bounce back senior campaign for the huskies after going 3-7 a year ago. With the talent around him this year it could be a solid year for White and the huskies. White has good accuracy and good decision making that’s why he is number five on our list.
Moving on to our next athlete on the list he is probably not that well known, but by the end of the season he will be a household name through the state. Coming in at number four is..
4. Jacob Hartman ( Petersburg High School C/O 2019)
6’2″ 215 Lbs Hartman Hudl Profile
With the great accuracy and arm strength of Hartman he is looking to help the Vikings get past the 500 mark they had last season and get them into a position to make a run in the playoffs. Hartman’s size and athletic ability should allow him to excel this season under center. With Hartman at the helm the Vikings could have a special year.
Moving on with the list the next athlete is a household name in the northern part of the state, but not many people know him in the southern part. Coming in at number three is..
3. Connor Neal ( Fairmont Senior High School C/O 2019)
6’0 202 Lbs Neal Hudl Profile
Connor is one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the state. Throwing for a completion percentage of 68 percent and leading the polar bears to the state championship game a season ago it could be another special season for the polar bears. Connor looks to bring the championship to Fairmont this year after suffering a tough loss a year ago at Wheeling Island.
Moving on to our top two quarterbacks. Coming in at number two is..
2. Will Hackney (Sissonville High School C/O 2019)
6’1 190 Lbs Hackney Hudl Profile
After a good season last year where we seen the Indians go 7-3 could this be the year that Hackney puts together a special run. Coming into his senior year Hackney is one of the top signal callers not just in AA but in the state. With his percise accuracy and smart decision making watch out for Sissonville this year.
Now coming in at the top spot is one of WV Sports News Class AA Players To Watch. Our number one quarterback in class AA is…
1. Cason Payne ( Point Pleasant High School C/O 2019)
6’2″ 205 Lbs Payne Hudl
After finishing last season at 8-2 and losing to eventual AA champion Bluefield some would call that a successful season for the big blacks, but coming into his senior year Cason only has one thought and that is winning a championship. Cason is one of the most skilled and all around polished quarterbacks in the state. If you haven’t seen him play in person you should get out and watch this kid play. Could this be the year that Point gets that elusive championship?
