Breaking news on the men’s basketball team.
As of today, it was reported that Wesley Harris will face charges for battery after an altercation driving downtown Morgantown. Harris was driving on the intersection of Jones Avenue and Steward Street when they two parties became heated. Harris reportedly threw the other party into his car and the altercation became increasingly heated.
The reported event actually occurred mid-July, and was witnessed by an employee of the Athletic Department. Harris plead not guilty in court on July 31. If Harris is convicted, he could face up to a $500 fine and year in jail.
The WVU Athletic Department is aware of the situation and will handle the matter internally.
