Mountaineer starting quarterback Will Grier is just collecting the accolades, week in, week out. This week is no different following West Virginia’s Big 12 conference win versus Kansas State.
Grier has been named this week’s Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week. This is the second time Grier has been given the title this season. Saturday’s home win was nothing short of a Heisman worthy performance by the quarterback, as he accounted for over 300 yards and five touchdowns in the victory.
Grier led the Mountaineers to their third win of the season as the team came off the impromptu bye week that was originally scheduled to be the NC State away game. Grier and his offense took full advantage of the bye week and came out strong in a matchup that is normally a nail-biter.
The Mountaineers travel to Lubbock, TX this week to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Red Raiders are returning home after traveling to Stillwater in an upset over the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Will Grier and the Mountaineers kick off at 11:00 Texas time, noon Eastern, Saturday in Texas.
