MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–West Virginia will meet former Big East member Syracuse on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Camping World Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
The Mountaineers (8-3) will meet the Orange (9-3) for the first time since 2012 when the two teams played each other in the Pin Stripe Bowl, where Syracuse won 38-14.
“We are excited to be going to Camping World Bowl in Orlando once again,” WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen said. “From a proximity point of view, it’s spectacular. It’s perfect for us. We’re familiar with the state of Florida with Orlando and how things work down there for the bowl game. It will be a great old Big East matchup with us and Syracuse. We’re excited about that. I know our fan base is going to be excited about that and rekindling some old memories.
“I think both teams are really exciting to watch. We both had great years, been in the Top 20 all year. I think we’re just one of a few teams, West Virginia, that’s been in the Top 15 all year. Two exciting offenses and two fan bases that know each other.”
The game kicks off at 8:15 ET, at Camping World Stadium and will televised on ESPN.
